Had called to make an appointment. Scheduled it.
Made sure I had given the lady my cell number to call to verify appointment. They did not call. Arrived and was told we missed our appointment. Umm no!
I even said back to the lady the date and time on the phone when I scheduled it. Also, would not take back unopened boxes of contact lenses. I was never told anything about exclusions. Said since we used insurance they could not.
Have worked customer service for over twenty years. This was an experience that was horrible. Even pulled my son out of school for the appointment and then was told we missed it. Will never be back.
Lost a Meijer customer for life. Whitestown, IN Meijer.

Saw a bad review, not all Meijer are bad. I have good service at mine.
Ive been going to the same Eye Doc since I was a third grader with my first pair of glasses. My doc switch to Meijer and it has been just as good as going to jcp.
Ive had a great experience there, Ive purchased on zenni optical but the glasses offered at Meijer are higher quality than cheap online glasses stores. My husband gets his glasses there and they will adjust his glasses as need be here and there. They have good options for men. And trendy options for both men and women.
Ive bought sunglasses there as well and they were good quality. Over all Ive enjoyed my experience at Meijer optical.

First - the 50% off the second pair... They pointed to a bin with a bunch of frames scattered in them like trash.
The personalityless clerk said they wouldn't work for me anyways because with my prescription they could only use a certain kind of glasses.
Second - $60 off offer is only for those without insurance. So we worked it up both ways $350 out of pocket using my insurance, $405 out of pocket not using insurance with the $60.00 off!
Third - it took more than twice as long to receive the glasses then promised. I only found out about the delays by calling. They did not reach out to say there had been a delay due a "breakage" at the factory.
At first, it was relayed that the factory line had an issue. Another clerk explained my frames had been broken.
Fourth - the reading portion of the prescription is not correct. It's seems to be for a different reading distance than I am accustomed too. Oddly, I used the same prescription to have a pair of lenses made at another optical shop for my athletic glasses - same lens material, with the self-tinting.
This other pair is fine for distance and reading.
Much of my displeasure could have been tempered had the clerk had some sort compassion, a sense of humor, and basic people skills. She was not rude, more like direct without any flexibility.

I went to Meijer Optical in Manistee Michigan and had an eye exam and ordered glasses the glasses that came in had the wrong prescription in the lenses. I made an appointment to see the doctor and then he examine the glasses that I got and said the lenses were made wrong.
He then proceeded to give the classes to the store manager Kendra and said to me that they would be remade. I called Kendra weeks later and asked if they were available or done and she informed me that they never received them and then proceeded to rant at me over the phone and not let me talk. Kendra claimed that she was the manager and by far the worst manager I have ever in my life dealt with she was rude inconsiderate and wouldnt let me even finish a sentence before she started over talking to me this person is unstable. I spent $689 on a pair of glasses that they have lost.
I dont know where they went, they dont know where they went and she claims that I never even came in. My recommendation is to never go to Meyer for any purpose.
